Spire Energy is seeking a highly skilled Gas Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and estimating construction projects for the replacement of existing natural gas facilities and the construction of new natural gas facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Engineering Manager and Field Operations in coordinating designs with GIS Analysts, Environmental Engineering, System Planning, Right of Way, Pipeline Safety and Compliance, Field Operations, and outside companies.
- Record and track each set of improvement plans from preliminary to final stage through construction.
- Work on special projects, including bridge crossings, railroad crossings, and design non-normal services.
- Specify and procure non-stock material required for all types of main and service work.
- Review design and cost estimates for all types of main and service work.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
- Engineering in Training certificate preferred.
- Minimum 0-2 years' engineering experience in natural gas or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of project management techniques and ability to lead across functional teams.
