About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Petco Animal Supplies Stores, Inc. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients and delivering outstanding customer service to their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Perform laboratory tests, handle and dispense medications, and maintain accurate medical records
  • Provide exceptional customer service, educate clients on pet care and health, and communicate effectively with veterinarians and other team members
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering a culture of compassion, respect, and open communication
Requirements
  • College or college-equivalent education in veterinary technology or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to animal welfare
