Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice

Key Responsibilities:
- Clean mechanical parts and components
- Disassemble and assemble components
- Repair small tools
- Assist in the rental department with inspections and check-ins of equipment
- Remove, assist with rebuild, and install components from equipment and engines
- Effectively use rebuildable guideline information to make sound judgment decisions in reuse of components
- Load/unload components, parts, and equipment
- Transport components, parts, and equipment around the facility and to job sites as needed
- Locate and use service manuals and technical information
- Accurately prepare service reports as required
- Communicate details of technical problems to supervisors
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tooling, technologies, and systems through online and classroom training
- Use safe working practices
- Perform other related tasks and activities as directed
