Job Summary:

The Surgical Technician functions as a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures
• Ensure the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly
• Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, and surgical procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of procedures
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to address patients, families, and hospital personnel

Requirements:

• Current and active Surgical Technician Certification (CST) established by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• BLS certification required
• 1 year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred
