Job Summary
This is a multi-functional position that incorporates the performance of mechanic duties on various pieces of machinery and operating equipment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on construction equipment, preferably asphalt paving equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on construction equipment, preferably asphalt paving equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Basic computer skills for Excel-based systems and/or OEM diagnostic systems
