Infusion Nurse Specialist

Curbside Infusion is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Nurse to join our team. As an Infusion Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe administration of intravenous treatments.
Responsibilities:- Administer intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician.
- Determine appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site.
- Observe patients' IV treatment and record observations in patient medical records.
- Provide information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures.
- Perform infusion therapy as directed by physician orders.
- Establish intravenous access per policy and procedure.
- Monitor reactions and patient progress.
- Educate patients and/or caregivers on disease processes, medications, side effects/risks.
- Schedule follow-up appointment for next therapy.
- Notify the physician and other personnel of change in the patient's condition.
- Perform skill outline in the agency's approved policy and procedure manual.
- Update clinical records according to policy and procedures.
- Update knowledge and skills by attending in-service programs, continuing education programs, seminars, and self-study programs annually.
- Perform inventory count before and after clinic daily, communicate needs to relevant personnel.
- Communicate supply needs as required.
- Adhere to safe nursing practice standards.
- Maintain professionalism with patient and client staff.
- Obtain satisfaction surveys from patients as required.
- Collect co-pays as required.
- Call no-show patients as required.
- Be knowledgeable about medications to be administered.
- Mix medication per policy and procedure.
- Adhere to Medicaid and Medicare regulations.
This is a part-time position, working every Thursday.
