Key Responsibilities:- Product Release Management: Manage and maintain the release of goods into the market, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with the Operations Department and Quality Unit to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our supply chain.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials, conduct visual and measurement tests, and initial review for potential rejection and return of unacceptable materials.
- Documentation Management: Organize, file, and maintain controlled document files, including Certificates of Analysis, Sanitation logs, Pest Control records, and other cGMP logs/documents.
- Communication: Communicate with contract manufacturers to obtain Certificates of Analysis and ensure compliance with our quality standards.
- cGMP Compliance: Assist with cGMP training and adherence to cGMP compliance, ensuring that all employees understand and follow our quality procedures.
- Sanitation Supervision: Act as Sanitation Supervisor, ensuring that our facilities and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep measurement equipment operating by following calibration and PM schedules.
- Authority and Decision-Making: Have authority for acceptance/rejection of finished products based on their compliance with current specifications and government standards.
- Supplier Quality Management: Assist in establishing supplier quality requirements and rating system for critical vendors.
- Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement: Perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvement opportunities.
- Special Projects: Assist in the development of special projects and work in conjunction with distribution and other departments as needed.
- Administrative Experience: 3+ years in an administrative role required.
- Data Entry Skills: Accurate data entry skills.
- Attention to Detail: Detail oriented.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Quality Control Experience: Experience in a Quality Control environment strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in science is a plus, but not necessary if proven industry experience.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Office (Word/Excel).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Teamwork: Ability to interact efficiently with a multidisciplinary team.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify deficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives in cooperation with the other members of the quality team.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of the Dietary Supplements Industry.
This position primarily requires moderate physical activity in the warehouse area for overseeing inspection incoming shipments and moving and lifting boxes. It also may require ingestion of our products as part of our product event / consumer compliant internal investigation and therefore any food allergies should be made known. This position will also require some use of the computer/ keyboarding and sitting as well as use of other office equipment such as phone and copier.
