We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Health Specialist to join our team at Ineos Pigments USA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Policies and Procedures: Create and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Safety Audits and Inspections: Regularly conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Investigate Incidents and Accidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and Maintain Safety Training Programs: Design and deliver safety training programs to ensure employees are aware of and understand safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and other teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety specialist role or 5+ years of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.
- Certifications: Board Certified Safety Professional (BCSP) or ability to obtain.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of safety and health processes, related legislation, and standards; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
