We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Morton, IL. This is a 12-month hybrid role that offers a competitive salary of roughly $27/hour W2 + benefits (Swoon covers 50% of benefits) or $31/hour C2C.

Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for purchasing essential goods and services for the company's operations. Key responsibilities include evaluating suppliers, approving purchase orders, and ensuring high-quality goods and services at the best possible price.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and optimize suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and availability.
  • Approve purchases of high-quality merchandise at competitive prices in correct quantities.
  • Review requisitions, solicit bids, and approve purchase orders.
  • Provide guidance to resolve issues related to undelivered goods.
  • Lead negotiation, renegotiation, and contract administration with suppliers.
  • Address defective or unacceptable goods and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and evaluate contract performance to ensure compliance.
  • Manage just-in-time inventory processes.

Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, supply chain management, business, or economics, and 5-7 years of relevant experience in purchasing or finance. You should also possess advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency, as well as experience using Power BI and Tableau for dashboards.
