Speech Therapist Opportunity at Sacramento Sierra Rehabilitation Hospital - UC Davis

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Sacramento Sierra Rehabilitation Hospital - UC Davis, a state-of-the-art inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality speech therapy services to patients with a range of conditions, including stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, including speech, language, and cognitive therapy
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in speech therapy
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current CA License as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • 2 years of experience in acute rehabilitation or acute care settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 36-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, with some weekend rotations. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
