Business Development Sales Representative I

We are seeking a Business Development Sales Representative I who will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base in the metals industry. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Shelbyville, KY, with approximately 30-40% domestic travel and up to 10% international travel.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Communications or Mechanical Engineering and up to 2 years of experience in B2B sales. Strong communication skills, including presentation skills, are essential, as well as the ability to work accurately with details and communicate complex problems at a technical level.
This role offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including multiple health insurance options, vision, dental, life, short-term and long-term disability coverage, health-saving accounts, or flexible spending account.
Responsibilities include identifying new market opportunities, developing a network of contacts to acquire new customers, evaluating and investigating market trends across different industries to create a plan for strategic growth, and driving opportunities through the entire sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying, presenting and proposing.
