Mitchell County Regional Health Center, located in Osage, Iowa, serves a community of approximately 10,600 residents. As a 25-bed critical access hospital, we operate a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room that accommodates around 3,200 visits each year. Our Surgical Services department conducts over 1,300 procedures annually, specializing in areas such as General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, and Podiatry.

We currently manage three clinics and provide 24/7 emergency services alongside comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical care. Job Responsibilities
The Supply Control Clerk plays a crucial role in overseeing supply inventory levels within the department storeroom and designated areas of the hospital. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the receipt of materials ordered by hospital staff.
  • Documenting the receipt of merchandise accurately.
  • Delivering non-stock items daily to the requesting department.
  • Restocking shelves with supplies and fulfilling supply requisitions as needed.
  • Packaging items designated for return.

Work Schedule: PRN - As Needed, Days - Monday to Friday (typical hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)

Compensation: Starting at $15.74, with potential increases based on experience.


Qualifications
A. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
B. Experience:
Prior experience in warehouse operations, receiving, stocking, and inventory management within a healthcare setting is preferred.
C. Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and dependability are essential. Proficiency in 10-key data entry is required.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements
A. Ability to walk, stand, and routinely lift weights between 40-60 pounds.
B. Effective communication skills for phone and in-person interactions. Visual acuity for reading and computer tasks is necessary.
