Role Overview:
This Operations role is crucial for overseeing and guiding the activities related to delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide collaborative leadership to delivery supervisory personnel.
2. Offer specific guidance to drivers regarding routing, safety, and compliance.
3. Oversee the daily operations and safety of delivery staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and planned routes.
4. Analyze both live and historical data to maintain optimal delivery schedules and ensure timely customer service.

5. Supervise the effective use of company resources to support the delivery department.
6. Review delivery productivity reports and provide feedback to supervisors.
7. Propose efficiency improvements and assist in implementing changes to delivery processes.

8. Interpret, instruct, and consistently enforce company policies, protocols, and procedures, including food safety, DOT regulations, record-keeping, and performance standards.

9. Maintain communication with Sales Management and Marketing teams to collaboratively address customer and delivery challenges.

10. Engage proactively with drivers to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and departmental performance targets.

11. Collaborate with Transportation Road Supervisors and Safety Trainers to ensure consistent training, conduct associate observations, update preferred work methods, perform timely accident investigations, and carry out routine safety inspections.

12. Recommend disciplinary actions or behavior modifications based on performance data analysis.


Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- High school diploma or GED required; a two or four-year degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- One to three years of relevant experience or training.
- Ability to solve practical problems and navigate various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

- Capability to apply policies consistently and objectively in a timely manner.
- Ability to work methodically and adhere to established procedures and regulations.

- Skill in managing pressures associated with deadlines and customer service issues.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions in alignment with company policies.

- Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software, with the ability to learn Sysco technology systems.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

- Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.


Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
