Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team. Under general supervision, this role involves performing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks for our facilities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, and groundskeeping, along with a foundational knowledge of HVAC systems. This position is essential for the upkeep and maintenance of our physical plant, including construction, renovations, and rehabilitation of facilities. The individual will work collaboratively with the team to enhance skills and knowledge for ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with building codes.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Perform painting tasks for both interior and exterior surfaces of facilities.
  • Maintain and repair heating systems, including boilers and furnaces.
  • Clear snow and ice as required.
  • Inspect agency vehicles and assist in their maintenance.
  • Estimate and acquire necessary materials for maintenance projects.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma with 1-2 years of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes.
  • Specialized training or licenses in a specific trade is preferred.
