Job Overview

Our Systems Development team is responsible for designing and developing subsystems for various application segments, utilizing the latest IP products from Arm and other vendors. We are seeking a skilled and experienced SoC Verification Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of these systems.

As a SoC Verification Engineer, you will be part of a team tasked with verifying the functional correctness of compute subsystems. You will work closely with the project team to understand and review the subsystem architecture and design specifications, and to develop a comprehensive verification strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Crafting test plans and developing SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches and tests
  • Debugging test failures and issues
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of verification methodologies used by the team
  • Collaborating with other teams on design microarchitecture, verification methodologies, system performance, and other related areas
  • Working with Project Management on activities, plans, and schedules
  • Guiding and supporting junior members of the team
Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL
  • A detailed understanding and experience of current verification strategies required for sophisticated SoC development, including software-based techniques
  • Good knowledge of test plan creation and tracking
  • Low-level programming experience, including C and Assembler
  • Experience with Perl, Python, or other scripting languages
Nice to Have Skills and Experience

While not required, experience with the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Arm-based designs and/or ARM System Architectures
  • SystemVerilog and verification methodologies – UVM/OVM/e
  • Object-Oriented programming concepts
  • Formal verification techniques
  • Clock domain crossing verification
  • Power aware verification
  • Porting peripheral driver software
  • Development and deployment of complex Arm SoCs on multiple Emulation platforms, as well as direct hands-on test bench development
  • Emulation compile and bring up of Arm SoC with functional tests
  • Experience with Z1, Strato, or Zebu Emulators and bringing up and debugging complex SoC designs
