In your role as an Oncology Radiation Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Precisely administering the prescribed radiation therapy as directed by the radiation oncologist.
  • Utilizing advanced health information systems such as ARIA and MOSAIQ.
  • Monitoring patients for any unusual reactions and identifying potential complications during their treatment. Reporting findings to the appropriate medical staff.
  • Providing care that respects the diverse needs and preferences of patients.
  • Clearly explaining treatment processes to patients and their families, addressing their inquiries within your professional scope.
  • Representing Radiation Billing Solutions, Inc within the community and embodying our core values.
  • Ensuring billing practices are accurate and compliant.
  • Adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Commitment to Safety and Quality:

  • Implementing effective infection control measures.
  • Conducting quality assurance checks on equipment and patient care in line with departmental standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of daily treatments and performing regular chart audits.
  • Leading emergency response drills.
  • Carrying out daily equipment warm-up procedures to ensure quality assurance.
  • Applying ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
  • Completing morning quality assurance tasks independently and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Observing radiation safety protocols and reporting any issues that do not comply with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • BLS Certification (Mandatory)
  • ARRT Certification (Mandatory)
