Job Summary

Veracity is seeking a skilled Ultrasound / Vascular Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and cardiac ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and interpretation by Radiologists and Cardiologists.
  • Position and transfer patients with care and attention to detail.
  • Select and operate equipment as directed, ensuring optimal results.
  • Lift, move, and transport patients with ease and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information.
  • Perform general office duties, including answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Cover after-hours calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Observe patient and equipment, reporting any unusual occurrences to management.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and providing emotional support as needed.
  • Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance tasks as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or be registered and certified by the ARRT in another modality (i.e., radiography, MRI, nuclear medicine, etc.) and documented training on the provision of sonography examinations, or completion of the SPI exam in lieu of documented training.
  • Current BLS certification required.

The Ultrasound Tech will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and concisely, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
