Job Summary

Greiner is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Machine Operator/Setup Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery, ensuring high-quality production and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain 20-fold lines, achieving acceptable Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Participate in training new and current operators, including documentation and hands-on training
  • Communicate with coaches and supervisors on training performance and progress
  • Motivate and drive daily production goals and quality output
  • Monitor production performance throughout the shift to ensure goals are being met
  • Record and communicate any test results outside of specification limits
  • Clean equipment and areas to ensure a smooth transition to the next shift
  • Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment
  • Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of products
  • Understand and utilize Z-Point Computer Software for functionality and troubleshooting
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Authority and Decision-Making

  • Perform quality inspections and in-process control
  • Maintain shift-end communication between shifts
  • Discuss machine issues with shift supervisors
  • Adjust draw volume and dosage during production as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Basic math skills and understanding
  • Manufacturing experience and basic computer skills
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days or nights)
  • Pass a pre-employment exam/qualification test

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to perform fast-paced and detailed packaging work
  • Appropriate vision for detailed quality inspection
