Job Title: Commercial & Residential Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Commercial & Residential Construction Project Manager to join our team at HR NOLA. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the complete functions of construction projects, ensuring all strategic objectives are carried out successfully, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project planning, daily field reports, safety, and general oversight to deliver every project on time and budget.
  • Prepare and manage detailed project construction schedules.
  • Work with customers to ensure they order allowance items, particularly long lead time items, well in advance.
  • Manage daily activities of projects, coordinate with others to ensure jobs are clean and well-organized.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of job safety and compliance, conducting regular project progress meetings, and fostering teamwork among all involved parties.
  • Maintain open, daily communication with field staff and clients.
  • Manage the Change Order process from estimate to signing.
  • Manage and control project costs, complete estimated hours and costs to complete reports.
  • Perform regular update meetings with field, client, and senior manager.
  • Foster an enthusiastic, creative, 'can do' attitude, and share responsibility for the Company and overall department success in reaching its goals and helping to develop the team.
Requirements:
  • Associate/bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Five (5) years of equivalent or related experience, with project management experience required.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace - Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Understands design intent and works through high levels of detail, ability to read and interpret plans, details, and specifications.
  • Computer literacy - computer estimating, complete competency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and industry-specific software for managing change orders, job costs, and related project commitments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and work flows simultaneously, both independently and as a team.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diversity of individuals at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and ensure discretion and confidentiality.
Work Environment:
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • This job operates mostly in the office, with occasional visits to construction sites reviewing progress and meeting with project stakeholders.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and various digital devices.
