Job Title: Maintenance Technician I

Location: Phoenix/Tolleson, AZ

Department: Maintenance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at OFI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment and machinery
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Conduct safety checks and implement preventative maintenance procedures
  • Rebuild mechanical assemblies and perform other maintenance tasks as needed
  • Operate production equipment and assist with changeovers
  • Work at heights using ladders and aerial platforms
  • Use hand power tools and create work orders in our CMMS system
  • Perform all work in a safe manner, following specific procedures for lockout/tagout
  • Attend daily and monthly safety meetings
  • Understand and follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and OSHA safety standards
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Experience using the internet and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of production processing and quality control measurements
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Must wear appropriate PPE and comply with all safety policies and requirements
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good communication skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, grasp, and lift throughout the shift
  • Ability to manually move parts and tools that may weigh up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work weekends and overtime with little notice
