Position Summary:
The selected candidate will operate with a degree of independence, undertaking a range of general facility cleaning, grounds maintenance, and non-technical repair tasks. While the responsibilities are straightforward, they encompass a variety of duties that may require the application of specialized skills in general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning Duties:
    • Regularly empty trash and recycling bins as instructed.
    • Perform daily spot cleaning of main entrances and glass doors.
    • Check and restock restrooms and kitchenettes twice daily.
  • Maintenance Tasks:
    • Conduct minor repairs, including painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
    • Execute routine preventive maintenance activities.
    • Replace light bulbs and lamps throughout the facility.
    • Report any major repair needs to the appropriate management personnel.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Distribute packages and special deliveries to designated areas.
    • Ensure the grounds are tidy and well-maintained, including:
      • Daily upkeep of flower beds and removal of weeds.
      • Maintenance of mulch beds.
      • Regular sweeping of parking lots and sidewalks.
    • Manage snow and ice removal from sidewalks and entrances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Role:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or a Trade School Certificate.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic administrative and computer skills.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to foster positive working relationships.
  • Reliable attendance record.
  • Aptitude for maintenance tasks with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow established procedures with minimal training.

Working Conditions:
The physical demands of this role include:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to climb a 10-foot ladder.
  • Standing and walking for up to 50% of the workday.
