Job Title: Feed Truck Driver

This position is responsible for transporting and delivering finished feed to cattle daily. The Feed Truck Driver will operate a feed truck to distribute a pre-determined quantity of feed to cattle, following yard-specific guidelines regarding accuracy, distribution, and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a feed truck to distribute feed to cattle daily
  • Follow yard-specific guidelines regarding accuracy, distribution, and timeliness
  • Use a laptop device to communicate loads and pens assigned
  • Recognize different feed rations and correct mistakes by shoveling over fed quantities back onto the truck
  • Clean bunks according to yard specifications, including regular removal of mold, rocks, manure, etc.
  • Minimize truck downtime by performing truck servicing and inspection according to schedule
  • Maintain a clean truck by cleaning out trash, wiping out, and washing according to schedule
  • Comply with all applicable safety rules and policies
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent

Frequently to Occasionally the employee is required to push/pull, reach, bend, stand, climb, squat, kneel, lift, carry, twist, grasp/squeeze.

Working with or near cattle, horses, vehicles, and equipment in all weather conditions.
