Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

Epic Travel Staffing Allied is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team for a travel assignment in Antioch, California.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to perform diagnostic PET/CT imaging procedures, including injection of radio pharmaceuticals and IV contrast, patient positioning, and image reconstruction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic PET/CT imaging procedures, including injection of radio pharmaceuticals and IV contrast
  • Administer oral contrast and ensure accurate patient positioning
  • Reconstruct and film images, transfer data to the network, and archive image data
  • Assist with procedure scheduling and front office functions to ensure smooth workflow
  • Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information and report distribution
  • Conduct daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance and report malfunctions
  • Responsible for patient data and films, including printing, archiving, retrieval, and tracking
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a PET/CT environment
  • Strong knowledge of imaging procedures and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
