Maintenance Custodian

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Custodian to join our team at Portsmouth High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds, maintaining equipment in functional condition, and providing cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors, and others as needed.

• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in school buildings and grounds, including sweeping, washing, sealing, and waxing floors, as well as dusting woodwork and furniture;">
• Operate various pieces of equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and brooms, to maintain cleanliness and safety standards;">
• Conduct minor repairs and adjustments to heating controls and boiler checks as requested by building supervisors;">
• Set up for special events and ensure the security of buildings during regular working hours and on special occasions;">
• Report any problems or issues to supervisors immediately;">

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance being desirable. You must also possess a valid [state] Motor Vehicle Operator's license or be able to provide your own transportation.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
