We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work night shifts, providing exceptional patient care and support in our state-of-the-art facilities.
Job Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Liberty Health, you will be responsible for assisting in the direction of nursing services for your designated unit, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your duties will include delegating tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, observing patients for signs of adverse change, and notifying attending physicians of emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the direction of nursing services for your designated unit, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, and monitor their work performance.
- Observe patients for signs of adverse change, including general physical and mental condition.
- Notify attending physicians of emergencies, and implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, and proof of license renewal every other year.
- Willingness to work as charge nurses, and flexibility to work as needed during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
- Able to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certified yearly.
- Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
