They are responsible for opening and closing procedures, including balancing cash drawers and the safe, preparing daily deposits, and completing administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service, handles customer relations, and performs checking duties as needed.
  • Directs and supervises front end activities, including monitoring customer traffic and service level, coordinating programs, and ensuring cleanliness and safety.
  • Handles cash flow and controls, including safe transactions, cash register tills, and monitoring employee money handling procedures.
  • Assists with interviewing and hiring, trains employees, and monitors compliance.
  • Responsible for achieving budget goals for labor, cash variation, and supplies.
  • Ensures cost and quality control, maintains customer and employee safety, and enforces dress and grooming standards.
  • Responsible for compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency with 5 years of experience in grocery store, deli, or similar retail environment.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business a plus.
  • People management training classes or experience.
  • Sanitation License.
Work Environment
  • Must have the physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods, bend and stoop, and lift loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule with various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to be reached during/after work hours.
