Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Texas Health Resources. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol hospital premises to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce hospital policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as alarms and incidents, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents, and prepare reports as required.
  • Provide security support to hospital departments and staff, as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of the hospital and its occupants.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in business administration, criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in security or law enforcement, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and insurable.
  • Commissioned Security Officer (CSO) certification, Texas Private Security Level 2 or 3, and TASER certification required.
  • Ability to physically defend and restrain individuals, as needed.
  • Successful completion of a psychological evaluation.

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and other environmental hazards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
