Psychiatric Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Compass Health. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a combination of social, physical, psychological, vocational, and recreational services to strengthen and enhance the capability of psychiatrically impaired persons.
• Work as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and report any changes in patient behavior or condition.
• Participate in training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge and skills to this position.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification and Food Handlers permit, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to relate effectively with patients, agency staff, other community programs, and the general public.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong computer proficiency, including keyboarding skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
