ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a former or current Rated Army Aviator with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Army Aviation flight and combat operations.
  • Must hold a Senior or Master rating as an Army Aviator within a reconnaissance/attack, assault, or general support aviation battalion, or within higher aviation units comprising 35 to 600 personnel.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in capability management and combat development is required.
  • Experience in planning, executing, and facilitating Joint Working Groups is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Team Lead in conducting Aviation studies and/or operational test events, with a focus on capability development and technology evaluation.
  • All written products must meet graduate-level standards for government documentation.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as an Operations and/or Executive Officer at the Battalion, Brigade, or higher levels (equivalents included).
  • Tactical staff experience within Army Aviation units, including reconnaissance/attack, assault, or general support aviation battalions, focusing on planning, training, and execution, or within higher echelon aviation organizations.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Operational experience in Tactical Army Aviation within a combat environment.
  • Experience as an Operations and/or Executive Officer at the Battalion, Brigade, or higher levels (equivalents included).
  • Graduation from Command and General Staff College/Intermediate-Level Education (CGSC/ILE) or Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course/WOILE.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work primarily conducted in an office setting.
  • Some travel may be required as part of this role.
  • Partial telework may be available, subject to local commuting area requirements or willingness to relocate.
