Join Our Team as an Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is a leading eye care provider in the region, with a reputation for excellence in patient care and innovative treatment options.

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe to join our team at our West Yarmouth office, with occasional travel to Falmouth and Sandwich.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately document and summarize ocular examinations and recommendations
  • Maintain patient flow and communication regarding appointment status
  • Assist during exams, including holding patients' heads in the slit lamp and providing medications and instruments
  • Provide written instructions and patient education materials
  • Maintain patient charts and assist floor technicians as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma and basic understanding of algebraic principles
  • Two or more years of experience in an office setting, with healthcare experience a plus
  • Excellent spelling ability and attention to detail
  • Strong PC and administrative skills
  • Able to perform accurate refractions efficiently
