Job Summary:
This position plays a crucial role in achieving sales goals and driving business growth for Sysco's Specialty Meat Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, promoting and selling Sysco's products and services, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a strong network of customers and prospects in the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and grow the business.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer needs and concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and product applications to effectively promote Sysco's offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and customer needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; 4-year degree in culinary arts, business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in food service sales or a related field.
- Strong consultative sales skills, with the ability to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, internal teams, and external partners.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Outlook.
Decision-Making Authority:
- Approach to building relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Time and customer management.
- Customer pricing.
- Self-motivation.
Organizational Reporting:
- Reports to Sales VP, Director, or Manager.
