Overview

Seeds Wilderness Therapy is a Christian organization working with families of troubled teens.

Job Summary

This role involves leading 10-week backpacking experiences, providing individual care to students in the wilderness and teaching essential skills for their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disciple two or three students, focusing on their therapeutic, emotional, spiritual, and physical health.
  • Teach hard skills such as backpacking, cooking, fire safety, and soft skills like mental and emotional health, spirituality, and understanding client issues.
  • Cultivate cognitive, affective, and behavioral growth through coaching and reporting to the Field Director.
  • Collaborate with Therapists to implement therapeutic/spiritual directives.
Qualifications
  • A minimum age of 21 years old, three years older than the oldest student.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to follow all Policies and Procedures.
  • A clear background check by state and federal authorities.
  • Sobriety from substance abuse and harm to oneself or others.
Requirements
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification.
  • Able to carry a 75-pound pack over uneven terrain.
  • Three professional references.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Salary

$75-$175 per day + room & board opportunity.
