Advancement Leader for Richmond Community

Rise Richmond seeks a highly skilled Director of Advancement to lead our fundraising efforts and grow our community of supporters.
About the Role:- This is a full-time, exempt position with an anticipated hiring range of $75,000 to $90,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
The successful candidate will be passionate about K-12 education and youth development programs, and will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also have strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to change, and deliver on time.

Responsibilities:- Plan and lead all unrestricted and annual giving direct donor fundraising campaigns and events.
- Build and manage the advancement department budget.
- Manage development operations, ensuring that donor contributions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Utilize best practices for donor prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship to sustain and grow Rise's community of supporters.
- Monitor weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual data to achieve advancement goals.
- Achieve donor retention rates that meet or exceed non-profit sector benchmarks.
- Build mid-level donor segment and feed the major gift pipeline.
- Collaborate with the Rise Richmond marketing team to utilize a variety of direct response fundraising methods.
- Lead the advancement committee of the Board, managing up to ensure board members effectively articulate the mission and support fundraising goals.
- Serve as strategic thought partner with the Executive Director to envision and fund future projects, including a capital campaign.
- Elevate and promise Rise through external meetings, media appearances, and community engagement.
- Faith in Jesus Christ, affirming the Apostles' Creed and lived out in a faith community.
- 5+ years related and progressively productive experience related to direct response and mid-level fundraising, including staff management and lead generation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and command of the English language.
- Strong project management skills with flexibility to manage multiple projects, adapt to change, and deliver on time.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other donor-related platforms.
