Drywall Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at All Wall Contracting, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing wall surfaces for painting or papering by taping joints between plasterboard or other wallboards.

• Roll out power cords and check out tools and equipment needed for daily tasks
• Inventory materials, tools, and equipment at the beginning and end of shift
• Cut out and pre-fill damaged areas on finished walls with hot mud
• Mix joint compound by hand with a stomper or with an electric drill with a beater bar
• Tape over flats, butts, and angles by hand or with a mechanical applicator
• Spread and smooth compound material over taped flats, butts, and angles surfaces
• Spot screws with joint compound
• Install cornerbead to all corners, then sand and flush coat
• Sand rough spots after compound has dried
• Apply a flush coat of compound
• Sand rough spots after compound has dried
• Touch up any nicks, dings, scuffs, or pin holes
• Apply primer to walls and ceiling preparatory to final finishing
• Apply texturing compound to walls and ceiling preparatory to final finishing
• Clean up all mechanical tools on a daily basis to keep in proper working condition
• Clean up all excessive spills of compound on floors
• Stock materials as required

• Must have own trades tools as per attached list
• Must have knowledge of industrial standards

The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail. The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, high places, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Safety glasses and earplugs are required to be worn on the job site at all times.
