As a Physician with our Family Practice Department, a typical day may involve:

  • Conducting thorough examinations to determine patient conditions and gathering information about symptoms.
  • Prescribing medications and providing detailed administration instructions.
  • Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests to identify possible infections or abnormalities.
  • Administering vaccines according to governmental guidelines.
  • Managing overall patient care, including treating minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress and condition.
  • Identifying and referring patients to specialist care when necessary.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Clearance through the National Practitioner Database.
  • An active license to practice medicine in the State of Idaho.
  • A current DEA license.
  • At least five years of experience as a healthcare provider in primary care, urgent care, or emergency departments.
  • A solid understanding of health principles, illness, and wellness, including best practices in preventive and primary healthcare delivery.
  • Proven clinical competence and experience in primary and preventive healthcare services.
  • Excellent family medicine/primary care delivery skills and ability to build effective relationships with patients and staff.
  • Experience with rural community healthcare, public health principles, and practices is desirable.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, creativity, and collaboration abilities.
