As a Physician with our Family Practice Department, a typical day may involve:
- Conducting thorough examinations to determine patient conditions and gathering information about symptoms.
- Prescribing medications and providing detailed administration instructions.
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests to identify possible infections or abnormalities.
- Administering vaccines according to governmental guidelines.
- Managing overall patient care, including treating minor injuries and illnesses.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and condition.
- Identifying and referring patients to specialist care when necessary.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A degree from an accredited medical school.
- Clearance through the National Practitioner Database.
- An active license to practice medicine in the State of Idaho.
- A current DEA license.
- At least five years of experience as a healthcare provider in primary care, urgent care, or emergency departments.
- A solid understanding of health principles, illness, and wellness, including best practices in preventive and primary healthcare delivery.
- Proven clinical competence and experience in primary and preventive healthcare services.
- Excellent family medicine/primary care delivery skills and ability to build effective relationships with patients and staff.
- Experience with rural community healthcare, public health principles, and practices is desirable.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, creativity, and collaboration abilities.
