Job Summary:

Miller Transportation Group is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
  • Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes using company-supplied OEM software, following proper warranty procedures
  • Repair and replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
  • Replace clutches and transmissions

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
  • Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
  • A valid CDL, or the ability to acquire a CDL with the assistance of our trainer
  • Hand tools
  • Ability to work 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday (10:00 pm-6:30 am)
  • Experience working on refrigeration units is desired, but not required
