Job Summary

Boise Cascade Company is seeking a skilled Millwork Prefinish Specialist to join our team. As a Millwork Prefinish Specialist, you will be responsible for constructing doors and windows made to order in our pre-finish department, including painting and/or staining.

Key Responsibilities
  • Door and Window Construction: Construct doors and windows made to order, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Quality Control: Check product and raw material specifications to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Machinery Setup: Set up door machinery and equipment to specifications, ensuring efficient production.
  • Material Handling: Transport raw materials and finished products to and from machinery, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Mathematical Calculations: Apply mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc. to ensure accurate production.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety and quality standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow Boise Cascade safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Training and Development: May train others and ensure work is complete and built to order specifications.
  • Inventory Management: May be responsible for raw materials and finished goods inventory, and materials order replenishment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or two (2) years equivalent work experience.
  • Painting Experience: Must have experience with pneumatic paint guns.
  • Carpentry Skills: Carpentry skills are a plus, but we are looking to start with painters.
  • Shift Work: Will be expected to work a split shift for approximately 3-6 months, 10am-7:30pm, for training purposes. Once trained, will transition to fully second shift, 3pm-11:30pm.
