Overview of the Position

SightMD is seeking a skilled Senior Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, performing vision and ocular tests, and maintaining accurate records.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification preferred or enrolled within twelve (12) months of hire and completion within two (2) years of hire
  • Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) required or completion within 45 days of hire

Salary: $27.50 per hour
