Waffle Cone Artisan

We're a rapidly expanding ice cream shop in Austin, dedicated to producing the finest, locally sourced, seasonally inspired ice creams since 2011. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating a fun, dynamic work environment.

The Cone Maker role is a key position in our shop, responsible for maintaining the highest sanitary standards in the making of our beloved waffle cones. As a Cone Maker, you will work independently, outside of business hours, and report to the Shop Manager.

• Measure and mix ingredients to create our signature waffle cone batter
• Cook and roll each cone by hand, ensuring consistency and quality
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and order
• Monitor stock levels and communicate needs to the Shop Manager
• Prepare waffle batter with accuracy and care, and apply it to waffle cone irons
• Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Lick Honest Ice Creams and our unique products, sharing this knowledge with customers
• Identify and report any batter or product issues to the Shop Manager

• Fully support the owners' mission and integrity of the brand
• Maintain the highest shop and kitchen sanitary and cleanliness levels
• Treat this position as a responsibility and be accountable for any actions, decisions, or direction given
• Be self-motivated and work efficiently
• Assume positive intent and take initiative
• State Food Handlers permit required

This position requires standing for shifts lasting up to 6 hours on concrete flooring, performing tasks involving repetitive motion, and lifting up to 50# of product. You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, read and comprehend written material, and work independently.
