Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner at Mission Regional Medical Center is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to our patients. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
