Early Childhood Studies Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced part-time lecturer to join our Early Childhood Studies department at Sonoma State University. As a lecturer, you will play a vital role in teaching and mentoring students in our undergraduate major and minor programs.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in the Early Childhood Studies major and minor programs, including courses on child development, education, and social justice.
- Respond to student needs in an equitable, timely, and appropriate manner, promoting student belonging, engagement, and success.
- Participate in program assessment data collection and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster a diverse, equity-minded, and inclusive campus environment.
- Maintain currency in the Early Childhood field, educational technology, and diversity and social justice issues.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Experience working with diverse children and families in a variety of settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in child development theory and practice.
- A commitment to social justice and educational equity.
- A minimum of three years of paid direct work with children in the birth to eight age range.
- Excellent oral, written, and digital communication skills.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
