Job Title: Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Indiana Packers Corporation. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise network across multiple offices and plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network performance and reliability to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Manage copper and fiber cable infrastructure to ensure efficient network connectivity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network capacity, scalability, and resilience.
  • Stay up-to-date with current vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures to maintain a secure network environment.
  • Report operational security risks and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Monitor and report on security metrics to ensure effective information security controls.
  • Collaborate with software manufacturers to implement best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Systems Support Analysts, Tier I and II.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong background in Cisco routing and switching.
  • Experience in designing and implementing SD-WAN platforms.
  • Knowledge of virtual networking for Type 1 Hypervisors.
  • Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • CCNA or equivalent certification.
  • Strong technical knowledge of protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, 802.1x, OSPF, BGP, IPSec, EVPN, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, GRE, RADIUS, IPAM, and NTP.
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including Panorama, High Availability setup.
  • Experience with wireless network management, access point configuration, and management.
