About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Infrastructure Designer to join our team in Willmar. As a Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in creating community infrastructure solutions for municipalities across the Midwest, Southeast, and beyond.

As a member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for assisting project managers and engineers with design and construction phase activities on municipal projects. Your primary focus will be on basic design computations, preliminary layout and design, research, and preparing rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.

You will also be involved in project plans and specifications, preparing cost and quantity take-off estimates, and performing construction staking, documentation, measurement, and testing activities. Additionally, you will interact with contractors, sub-contractors, residents, and City staff during construction observation activities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
  • Certified Engineer-in-Training or able to obtain within 12 months of hire
  • Prior experience in either infrastructure design and/or construction observation
  • Working knowledge and skills in CAD and design software (i.e. AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation)

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
