About the Role

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a leading provider of special education programs, is seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team and provide clinical and educational support to individual students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical and Educational Support: Offer training and support to teachers and support staff in the development of Functional Analysis Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
  • Monitor Quality of Student Services: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards for educational and behavioral services.
  • Develop and Implement Training Programs: Assess the school staff development needs, research, and design training programs based on those needs.
  • Participate in Staff Development: Attend conferences, training, and seminars to maintain and develop core competencies.
  • Train and Certify Team Members: Train and certify team members in the implementation of CPI principles while providing ongoing coaching and support.
  • Assist in Hiring and Training: Assist in the hiring, orientation, and training of behavior specialists.
  • Research and Recommend Curricula: Research and make recommendations for the use of evidence-based curricula in the classrooms that meet the requirements set forth by the Department of Education.
  • Develop and Monitor Systems: Develop and monitor systems designed to meet the needs of individual students, classrooms, and the site as a whole.
  • Develop Strategies for Fading Students: Develop strategies for fading students from 1:1 staffing ratios to small group staffing ratios.
  • Attend and Participate in Meetings: Attend and participate in all required meetings, including school team meetings and all staff meetings.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance Checks: Conduct regular quality assurance checks at the individual student, staff, classroom, and site level and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Department of Education regulations and Spectrum Schools internal standards.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or Higher: Master's degree or higher in behavior sciences, psychology, or a related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA): Board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credentials.
  • Education Specialist or Special Education Teaching Credential: Education Specialist or Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe) preferred.
  • Applied Behavior Analysis Skills: Well-versed in applied behavior analysis, including effective teaching strategies, classroom management systems, data-based decision making, and functional analysis/behavior intervention plans.
  • Experience Working with Individuals with Special Needs: Highly skilled in working with individuals with severe emotional and behavioral disorders and/or learning disabilities.
  • Prior Experience in Special Education: Prior experience working in a special education program setting highly preferred.
  • Advanced Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced oral and written communication, instruction, curriculum, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Motivational Skills: Advanced motivational skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Relevant Technology: Knowledge of relevant technology, including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
