About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procedural Nurse Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's Glenlake Medical Office. This is a short-hour day position, offering a unique work-life balance for those who value flexibility.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As a Procedural Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in a variety of procedural settings, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-operative assessments, initiate intravenous catheter care, central line care, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring as needed
  • Manage nursing care of sedated patients during procedures, working in conjunction with Charge Nurses and Surgeons to address any concerns or issues that arise
  • Assist the operative team in maintaining a safe environment, utilizing sterile technique and proper equipment usage throughout procedures
  • Provide knowledge-based technical assistance to physicians, using instruments and medical devices within the procedure room
  • Conduct continuous vital sign assessments and monitor patient condition and response to procedures and sedation
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of RN clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in critical care or operating room settings
  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience in a directly related field
  • A valid Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) and Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (if applicable)
