We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Essentia Health. As a critical care specialist, you will provide emergent, critical, and restorative respiratory care to patients through assessment, intervention, education, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all general and critical care respiratory care procedures and diagnostics on patients ages neonate through adult.
- Manage mechanical ventilation, airway management, bronchoscopy assist, critical care transport, arterial blood gas puncture, medication delivery, bronchial hygiene, patient assessments, and education.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct patient assessments and provide education on respiratory care and disease management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Graduate from an accredited respiratory care/therapy program.
- Hold and maintain certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or a Certified Respiratory Therapist, or equivalent.
- Hold state licensure in the appropriate state of practice upon hire or have applied and are waiting for state licensure in the appropriate state of practice to award licensure not to exceed 30 days from date of hire.
- Basic Cardia Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.
