Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Teacher to lead a class of students through the school year at Town and Country Day School.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management. They will be responsible for creating and following a comprehensive curriculum, assisting children with developing social and emotional skills, and using a range of instructional methods and learning techniques.

• Curriculum Development: Create and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of students and aligns with the school's educational goals.
• Student Support: Assist children with developing social and emotional skills, including problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution.
• Instructional Methods: Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques to engage students and promote learning.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and other school personnel to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Assessment: Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones.
• Classroom Management: Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Child Development: Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Classroom Management: Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines.
• Problem-Solving: Problem-solving and mediation skills.
• Certification: Must have ECE units.
