Job Summary

The Therapist LCSW-C is a critical role within our organization, responsible for supporting clients in establishing better cognitive, emotional, and social skills. This position involves developing coping strategies for dealing with symptoms of mental health and life challenges to reach client goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, family, and group counseling for clients.
  • Monitor and document progress toward client goals.
  • Assist in urgent mental health matters by collaborating with the treatment team and referring clients to other resources or care.
  • Provide oversight to intern and provisional therapists.
  • Diagnose clients based on individual history, symptoms, and behaviors using ICD codes.
  • Identify client needs and preferences for treatment and make recommendations for level of care, treatment goals, and needed services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation, including intakes, treatment plans, group and one-on-one notes, referrals, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicate regularly with staff members and affiliate organizations regarding scheduling, documentation, and client care.
  • Maintain scheduled client appointments and assist with mental health emergencies as needed.
Requirements
  • Active LCSW-C license in the state of Maryland.
  • Ability to deliver quality of care in line with local, state, and federal government laws.
  • Ability to deliver quality of care in line with policies and expectations of accreditation bodies such as CARF.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with computers and technology for inputting clinical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and scheduling.
  • Utilizing professionally accepted interventions and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and therapeutic skills.
  • Reliable, ethical, and honest work ethic.
Salary

$65,000 to $100,000
