Position Overview:

The Vehicle Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of the Academy's fleet. This position involves conducting preventative maintenance and performing necessary repairs on Academy-owned vehicles.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and troubleshooting automotive problems.
  • Performing routine checks on automotive fluids, tires, and batteries.
  • Replacing parts as needed and conducting tune-ups.
  • Cleaning both the interior and exterior of vehicles to maintain a high standard of appearance.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or GED, along with three to six months of experience in automotive repair, or a combination of education and experience. A one-year certificate from a college or technical school is preferred.

Additional qualifications include a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record, possession of hand tools and a toolbox, and a willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as required.
