Job Overview

As a Construction Equipment Technician at Clean Earth, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of various machinery and facilities. This position involves supporting operational activities, including the handling of heavy machinery.

This role operates primarily during the day shift, with occasional requirements for weekend and overtime work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, screeners, and stackers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating heavy equipment.
  • Exhibit strong mechanical skills and knowledge in the maintenance of heavy machinery.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks for buildings and surrounding areas as needed.
  • Manage procurement processes, including obtaining quotes and overseeing material and supply inventory.
  • Possess welding skills (MIG and stick).
  • Interpret and understand equipment manuals effectively.
  • Follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Ensure all equipment meets or exceeds OSHA standards through verification and oversight.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Environmental, Health, and Safety teams to prioritize maintenance tasks.

Participate in mandatory safety and operational meetings before and after shifts to discuss tasks and review safety protocols, including the use of proper PPE.
